May 1   WESAK FULL MOON MEDITATION Tuesday 7:30 pm

Please come and participate in this very beautiful meditation where we celebrate the birth, life and passing of the Lord Buddha. It is said that every year at this time, the Lord Buddha reappears in the Himalayas at a sacred ceremony where he gives his great blessing to the world through the spiritual heirarchy of humanity. By meditating at this time in a large group, we too can aid in distributing this great blessing to humanity.

May 6   THEOSOPHY 101
Ed Alden

Modern Theosophy offers the world a cosmology of great complexity. There are so many ideas put forth that it's easy to miss the forest for the trees.  However, the fundamental ideas are few and simple.  This presentation will review those fundamentals.

Ed Alden is a member of the Seattle Lodge and a long time Theosophist.

May 13   COSMIC REMINDERS FOR SOUL GROWTH
Ellen Finn

We get them all the time. Hints. Big hints. Earthshaking hints. Some can be predictable, others come when we least expect it.
By looking at our astrological birth charts we can see what some of the evolutionary intentions are for this lifetime, when we may get tapped on the shoulder, and what we are expected to do about it. Bring your birth chart if you have it or Quest will be happy to run one (even if you don't have your birth time ) We will use examples from this lively upbeat group, to look at these issues.

Ellen Finn is an astrologer with over 20 years experience.

May 20  BLESSING:  THE HUMAN GIFT
David Spangler

Blessing is a powerful expression of our individual and collective spirituality.  It is an art that is fully within our power; it is not restricted only to the clergy or to those whom we regard as holy, nor is it only a transpersonal power emanating from higher levels.  The capacity to bless is built into each of us just as we are; it's a gift any of us can give and one that is much needed in the world.

To bless is an art and a skill.  In this program we will explore the skill of blessing and learn of some of the forms blessing can take.  We'll learn of three distinct forms of blessing--metaphorically called the Zap, the Hug, and the Smile--and how to use them.  This program will thus consist both of lecture and discussion and of practical exercises that we will practice together.  Come and learn about Blessing, the gift you can give. Come and be blessed.

David Spangler is a mystic and metaphysical teacher living in the Northwest. He is the author of several books and is involved with the Lorian Association (www.lorian.org)

June 9   KEY TO THE WISDOM Saturday  10 til noon.
Ed Abdill

Everyone seeks happiness, but most seek it in the perishing world.  H. P. Blavatsky wrote, "If we looked within ourselves and centered our point of observation on the Inner Self . . . our lives would then become supportable and worth living, even in its worst phases." The facilitator will present a way by which participants may awaken their own Inner Self. The key to happiness and wisdom lies there, and we can discover it if we try. For so great a prize, are we willing to make the effort?

June 10    TRANSFORMATION AT THE END OF LIFE
Anne DeVore

Jung believed that Individuation and its transformational impact can happen at any time up to, and including, the time of death. Many spiritual practices can prepare the way but not guarantee transformation. We can't know its timing. However, when it happens we know without a doubt that it has occurred for we are utterly changed.

Four stories of end of life transformations will be shared which have one commonality: a visitation by the Virgin Mary. Each person experienced a complete cessation of fear, and each died within a few days of the visitation after experiencing complete peace. The works of Dion Fortune: Through the Gates of Death, and David Hart: "The Time of Transformation." will be referenced for this presentation.

Anne de Vore, PhD is a Jungian analyst in practice in Seattle since 1980. Her practice focuses on dreams and intuition-based therapy in
support of Individuation and spiritual Pathwork. She is influenced by the works of W.B. Yeats, Dion Fortune, Dane Rudhyar, and Marc Edmund
Jones. In addition to her psychoanalytic background she has training in Classics from the University of Washington.
