April 26,  10am - 4pm "Connecting with God and Nature"
Workshop with Dorothy Maclean

Dorothy Maclean will share her experiences of contacting her inner divinity, which led to daily communications and teaching from within, and share stories of a lifetime spent in the service of the Sacred.  This inner connection opened up the contact with the inner soul of nature, which she calls the devic kingdom. The famous Findhorn garden was created through Dorothy’s attunement to the spiritual forces of Nature.  During the workshop we will attune to these realms, and explore how each of us can cooperate with them for the greater wellbeing of the planet. She will lead the group in experiential exercises and practices of inner attunement to the spiritual intelligences of plants, animals and minerals, and the Beings of cities and countries.

Bring a brown bag vegetarian lunch; coffee & tea will be provided.  (There are several fine restaurants close by, however, if your karma excludes brownbagging.)
A donation of $25 - $40 dollars is requested for this event.

April 6   "Readings from The Mahatma Letters to A. P. Sinnett"
Ed Alden

The true impetus for the founding of the Theosophical Society and its leaders' exposition of the Perennial Philosophy came from two perfected human beings, variously called Adepts, Masters of the Wisdom, or Mahatmas.  For a short time they participated in written correspondence with A.P. Sinnett and a few others.  This presentation will briefly review the letters' context, and then let the Masters speak for themselves in selected readings.

Ed Alden is a long time Theosophist and member of the Seattle Lodge.

April 13  “ The Zodiac, Ten Bulls, and The Voice of the Silence”
Jeff Clark

Theosophy teaches that sacred texts in vastly different traditions are written in the same universal symbol language. This presentation examines some important words in this language by showing links between the imagery in Blavatsky’s translation of The Voice of the Silence, the Zodiac, and the Ten Ox-Herding Pictures, a Song dynasty portrayal of the Zen path.

As a leader of the Nippon Lodge in Tokyo for three decades, Jeff Clark translated The Secret Doctrine, The Key to Theosophy, and Agni Yoga into Japanese. His translation of The Voice of the Silence will be published this year. A devout Buddhist, Jeff is presently writing a book on the Book of Revelation from the viewpoint of Buddhism and the Kabala.

April 20    "Divine Sophia – Re-Imaging the Human Soul"
Christina Sophia

Who is the Divine Sophia and what is her relationship to the divine feminine of creation, the mother, and the human soul?  Who is this being known as “Wisdom” who lights up the inner landscape from the holy quest for self knowledge? Can we cast our I upon her and awaken her mysteries like stepping stones across the vast abyss into knowing soul?

During this talk we examine her evolving story – seeking to find her wisdom-filled being mirrored in the wisdom of human awakening.  The Divine Sophia gives us herself, from our quests, for lighting up consciousness in soul.

Christina Sophia met the emissary of the being of the Divine Sophia for the first time while still a child. Throughout her life she actively cultivates an intimate relationship with this topic - involved in research regarding knowing the workings of this being’s incarnation into human consciousness.

April 27   "Messages from Water: A Song for the Earth"
Virginia Hoyt

The Earth can speak to us in many ways, and fascinating messages come from the Earth's waters, as studied by Masaru Emoto of Japan, and described in his book "MESSAGES FROM WATER".  This presentation will describe Dr. Emoto's research, then delve into how his beautiful water crystals reflect our human mystery.  Finally we explore how each of us already hears Earth's song in our own lives.

Virgina Hoyt attended Dr. Emoto's training and was certified by him in 2005.  Since 1989 she has actively pursued a life-long interest in comparative spiritual traditions of the world, especially as they shed light on oneness as a wholesome way of being on Earth and with each other.

May 4   "Learn about your High Self the Huna Way"
Roy Novzari

In the Huna model, the Aumakua or High Self is the Spirit that looks after us and knows everything about us since the beginning.  It is the Spirit that our prayers are sent to by our Younger Self and, when the High Self receives our prayer, it will be answered.

Roy Novzari is a spiritual counselor, practicing since the late 1970's.  He has included Huna in his practice since the early 1990's.  He teaches Huna at South Seattle Community College each Quarter.

May 18   "Hathor and the House of Women"

Anne de Vore

Join Anne de Vore for slides and commentary on a very special museum in Cairo, the Geyer Anderson House, built into the corner of the Ibn Tulun Mosque, the second oldest mosque in Cairo. The house was  restored by Anderson, a physician in the British army in the 1920's.  He collected an assortment of artifacts that give us a glimpse of life of women of privilege in medieval Cairo.  These artifacts link women's medicine to the ancient practices of the cult of Hathor: herbs, amulets, symbols of protection, and the Goddess of Healing, Hathor.

Anne de Vore, PhD. is a Jungian Analyst, now practicing in Mukilteo, Washington. She has a life-long interest in the healing practices of the ancient world. Dream work, her main method, has a long history that began in the cult of Hathor in Egypt, was adapted by the Greeks, and continues in modern psychoanalysis in traditional Jungian analysis.

June  1   "Spirituality, Higher Consciousness and the Unified Field"
Dr. Diane M. Rousseau

The higher the Consciousness, the greater one automatically perceives messages that are telepathic in nature.  Due to spiritual development, we can also receive Divine Directives from the Higher Spiritual Realms; this is a higher form of telepathy and usually gives one a complete thought of an event or message for a higher purpose other than for one's own welfare.  God indeed does send answers in many forms; however, it is in the Silence where we receive the purest directive, ATMA.

Dr. Rousseau's is President of the Institute of Spiritual Sciences.  Her passion for the mysteries began in 1970, and she was Initiated into Meditation in 1972.  Her focus is to help people realize the mystical aspect of themselves as well as integrate this into practical life, the necessary development of the heart in unfolding the unlimited potential in each person; transcending gender, race, and age  while crossing boundaries of all faiths.

June 8 "Speaker's Choice"

David Spangler

We have invited David to speak on a topic of his choosing, one that seems relevant to the issues of the time.

David has been a metaphysical teacher and author since the mid 1960s and has spoken at the Theosophical Society on many occasions.  For more information on David and his work visit www.Lorian.org.
