The NDE from both sides of the Veil
Jim & Elke Macartney
Join husband/wife duo Jim and Elke Macartney as they share two perspectives of
Jim’s NDE's: his own experience, and her observation of the changes to his aura.
Ten years ago, Jim nearly died in front of Elke from a catastrophic seizure that
momentarily stopped his heart. Elke witnessed his death and subsequent return to
life, observing both physical and auric changes. Both will speak on the insights
learned from the event, and how those lessons greatly enhance their lives. Jim's
second NDE, occurring during open heart surgery in 2005, was dramatically
different from the first. They will share how everyone can take the lessons of
the NDE and related Transformational Experiences to integrate higher levels of
Being into our daily life--without having to almost die.
Both Jim and Elke live in LaConner, Washington. Jim Macartney, MA, has over 25
years of experience as a counselor, and is publishing a book entitled Crisis to
Creation, due out Spring 2009. Rev. Elke Macartney is a speaker and spiritual
counselor with an unusual perspective: seeing visual auras surrounding all life
forms. Her futuristic book, Energy Soup, is due out in Summer 2009. Her website

Gnosis and the Creative Imagination
Stephan Hoeller
Ancient teachers of Gnosis envisioned creativity as a way of invoking
transcendental intelligence and inspiring beings from the high Aeons. True
creativity was envisioned as transcendentally altered consciousness. Dr. Hoeller
will explore the esoteric practice of Creative Imagination. Topics will include:
C.G. Jung's rediscovery of Gnostic Active Imagination; Gnostic and Neoplatonic
Theurgy; and others.
Stephan Hoeller is a member of the lecturing faculty of the Philosophical
Research Society and is Director of Studies for the Gnostic Society. Trained for
the Roman Catholic priesthood, Dr. Hoeller is a bishop of the Ecclesia Gnostica.
He has been an international speaker for the Theosophical Society. His numerous
publications include: The Gnostic Jung; The Fool's Pilgrimage; Freedom: Alchemy
for a Voluntary Society; Gnosticism: New Light on the Ancient Tradition of Inner
Knowing.

several fine restaurants close by, or bring a vegetarian brown bag.

Soul Size: Challenge and Response in an Age of Global Crisis
David Spangler
In 1951, the British playwright Christopher Fry produced a play, A Sleep of
Prisoners, in which one of the characters speaks of a time when wrong comes up
to face us everywhere. At such a time, he says, affairs are soul size. The
enterprise is exploration into God. We live in such a soul-sized time when
events and opportunities call us to extraordinary levels of awareness,
attunement and response to the challenges of life. How do we respond to such
times? How do we find our own soul size to meet the opportunities of this
historic moment in human history? In this lecture, David Spangler explores these
questions and calls us to a vision of our potentialities.
David Spangler is an internationally known spiritual teacher, a former director
of the Findhorn Foundation community, and director of education for the Lorian
Association. He is the author of many books on spirituality and teaches a number
of classes online over the Internet at www.Lorian.org.

The Spiritual Landscape of the Pacific Northwest
Minor Lile
The Pacific NW has always held an evocative and deep and spiritual resonance.
This region, broadly defined as the territory encompassed by the Columbia and
Fraser Rivers and their tributaries, lies along the Pacific Ocean and includes
flowing rivers, restless volcanoes and great mountain ranges, unique vegetation
and animal species, island communities and the major population centers of
Vancouver, BC, Seattle and Portland. This program will offer an exploration of
how the spiritual landscape of the region informs our human experience and how
we, in turn, inform the spiritual energies of the region.
Minor Lile is a NW native. He has lived most of his life in and around the Puget
Sound basin and has been a member of the Theosophical Society for nearly twenty
years.

World Predictions 2009
James Kelleher
Besides sharing his insights on our new president, the war on terrorism, and
political situation around the world, Jim will describe the coming changes in
the USA and the world in the wake of the global recession. He always brings a
variety of interesting charts of people and countries in the news, which he
describes in a way that even the non-astrologer can understand. He can also
describe the spiritual dimensions of each horoscope.
James Kelleher was introduced to Vedic astrology in 1975 by M. K. Gandhi, who
predicted that Jim would become an astrologer. After studying in India, Jim
worked for several years as Gandhi’s assistant in London and traveled throughout
India with him. He returned to the United States, consulting, lecturing, and
teaching Vedic Astrology since 1984. He is the cofounder of the American Council
of Vedic Astrology and the American College of Vedic Astrology, and an adjunct
Professor at Hindu University of America. He has been awarded the titles of
Jyotish Kovid and Jyotish Vachaspati, by the Indian Council of Astrological
Sciences. He maintains a busy private practice in Los Gatos, CA.
