Hidden in Plain Sight: Spiritual Treasures from the Jewish Tradition
Rabbi Ted Falcon
Sometimes we have the hardest time seeing what is right before us. Our past
conditioning and belief systems channel our vision to support what we always
thought. Rabbi Ted will address the surprising spiritual wisdom that has been
virtually invisible because of our learned expectations.
Rabbi Ted Falcon, Ph.D., in 1993 founded Bet Alef synagogue with his wife, Ruth,
creating a place for sharing the universal spiritual wisdom of the Jewish
tradition. With Sheikh Jamal Rahman and Pastor Don Mackenzie, he has written
“Getting to the Heart of Interfaith . . .”. Retiring as rabbi at the end of
2009, he will continue to write, teach, and counsel in the Seattle area.

Relationship, Community, and the Seeker's Journey
Minor Lile
We live in profound relationship with each other and the world around us. The
practice of mindful relationship can make real the invisible threads that unite
all of life and support us in achieving our highest, truest calling.
Paradoxically, our relationships with others are often challenging and may
confront us with choices that seem to compromise our very essence. We will
explore these matters through the prism of H.P. Blavatsky's Key to Theosophy,
The Secret Doctrine and other writings.
Minor Lile offers insights and understanding rooted in two decades of spiritual
study and exploration. He was the manager of Indralaya, the theosophical retreat
center in the San Juan islands, for over 11 years.

Kris Williams' Near Death Experience
Kris Williams
At the age of 14 Kris watched the hospital resuscitation team frantically trying
to revive her body which had died from asphyxiation. Then she left the hospital
room and traveled on, through a realm of unity, to a decision point with the
Divine Male and Female aspects behind creation. One choice would lead her to
earth, which she could see in the distance. The other choice would lead her to a
spiritual city, which she felt magnetically drawn to.
Kris is a captivating speaker; she currently works as a Pharmacy Tech at the
Seattle VA.

An Inside Job: A Field Report on My Inner Muslim-Christian Dialogue
Ann Holmes Redding
On learning that she had become a Muslim without giving up her Christian
identity, a Muslim imam said, "We've needed an inside woman!" In this talk, on
the Christian feast of All Saints, Ann will tell us about being an inside woman
within the two traditions that have converged and now co-exist within her.
Ann Holmes Redding, PhD in New Testament, teaches and speaks internationally. In
2006, Islam converged with her Christian belief, eventually resulting in her
founding of Abrahamic Reunion West, committed to healing the Abrahamic family’s
global dysfunction. Her engagement with Islam led to her defrocking after 25
years as an Episcopal priest. Ann is co-author of Out of Darkness Into Light:
Spiritual Guidance in the Quran with Reflections from Jewish and Christian
Sources.

Therapeutic Touch Workshop
Susan Wager & Sandra Revesz
Therapeutic Touch is a method of balancing and increasing the body’s energy to
promote healing. It is a complementary therapy used in hospitals throughout the
United States and Canada. It can also be used by family members caring for sick
relatives. It also helps to ease the dying process. Research conducted on
Therapeutic Touch demonstrates that it decreases pain and anxiety, and
accelerates the body’s ability to heal. This workshop is experiential – it will
provide a hands-on opportunity to learn Therapeutic Touch. Participants will
practice the technique working in small groups. Therapeutic Touch was developed
by Dora Kunz, a former President of the Theosophical Society, and by Dr. Dolores
Krieger, now Professor Emeritus of Nursing at New York University.
Susan Wager, M.D., M.A. is a physician who practiced Internal Medicine, and now
has a counseling practice in Seattle. She has a Masters degree in counseling
psychology from Antioch University. She worked with Dora Kunz for several years,
learning how our mental and emotional patterns affect the healing process. She
is the author of "A Doctor's Guide to Therapeutic Touch".
Sandra Revesz, R.N., L.M.T. is a registered nurse and massage therapist. She
also studied for several years with Dora Kunz and Dolores Krieger. She has been
a teacher of Therapeutic Touch and Massage Therapies for over 20 years. Ms.
Revesz has a massage practice, and is an RN at Virginia Mason Hospital.

The Heart of Interfaith
The “Interfaith Amigos”
Too often religion seems to fuel more hatred than love. For three unique friends
— a rabbi, a pastor and a sheikh (“interfaith amigos,” as they have called
themselves on their Talk Radio show)— their relationship goes to the heart of
interfaith understanding and embodies a spirit of healing. How can we take
dialogue beyond the creeds of each faith to the shared values of love,
compassion and peace?
Pastor Don Mackenzie, PhD, was head of staff at Seattle's University
Congregational UCC. Rabbi Ted Falcon, PhD, is founder of LA's Makom Ohr Shalom
and Seattle's Bet Alef synagogues. Sheikh Jamal Rahman is co-founder and Muslim
Sufi Minister at Interfaith Community Church and adjunct faculty at Seattle
University.

Who Was HPB?
Linda Jo Pym
The mysterious adept teachers wrote of HPB as "a woman of most exceptional and
wonderful endowments." "An enfeebled female body in which a vital cyclone is
raging much of the time." "Just as she is, there is no second to her living fit
for this work." "Our visible agent" "Abandoning all for truth, not daunted by
obstacles, firm under every temptation, working unselfishly to spread the truth
and provoke men to correct thinking and a correct life." Come and let's explore
the life of this incredibly remarkable, controversial, astonishing, acerbic and
generous founder of the Theosophical Society.
Linda Jo Pym is a third generation member of the Theosophical Society for which
she has been an active worker in many ways for many years. The theosophical

Theosophy 101
Ed Alden
Modern Theosophy offers a worldview that is all-encompassing and, therefore,
complex. But the “core” ideas are few and easy to understand. They provide an
understanding of our existence that is radically optimistic and affirms our
place in the great drama of Creation. This series of three lectures will review
and explore those core ideas, each lecture discussing several of the core ideas.
This first session will focus on the source, setting, and “operation” of our
cosmos.
Ed Alden is a long time Theosophist and is a member of the Seattle Lodge.

A Recorded Reading of “Christmas of the Angels”
"To students of the hidden side of life, Christmas is a most wonderful reality—a
far greater reality than most of us think, since it involves the whole course of
Nature, and not humanity alone. Those who have awakened their inner vision know
that there is a hidden side to Christmas that the ordinary person hardly
suspects, although they react to its influence.” This program will feature a
professional recording of Dora van Gelder Kunz's book "Christmas of the Angels".
Dora van Gelder Kunz was born with clairvoyant faculties, was a founder of
Therapeutic Touch, and was President of the Theosophical Society in America.
